Festa e Shën Gjergjit me 6 Maj në Kosovë, Baba i Bokës në Gjakovë organizohet pranë tyrbeve, në prani të të cilave prehen apo theren qengja, duke kërkuar nga Zoti mirësi në këmbim të flijimit.
Dita e Shën Gjergjit festohet për t’a përjetuar ndaljen e dimrit dhe ardhjen e stinës së verës.
Sipas traditës së lashtë, Ditën e Shën Gjergjit duhet zgjuar herët në mëngjes, të shkohet rreth lumit për të marrë degë të gjelbëruara shelgu, pastaj shkohet te mulliri dhe tek lugu i mullirit të lahën degët e shelgut dhe të sillën degët në shtëpi etj. Një festë me plot rite tradicionale.
Karakterizohet me lojëra të shumta, me fluks të madh të festuasve në fusha të gjëra, pranë tyrbeve, apo ndonjë vendbanimi të lashtë etj.
